About me

I am a Singer based in the North-west of England.

I am passionate that music should be enjoyed by anyone who wishes to listen or learn about it.

Having embraced performing from a very early age and worked through exams in Singing, Music Theory, Piano & Dance I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (MusB Hons) at The University of Manchester where I studied Singing under the tutelage of Dianne Matthews from The Royal Northern College of Music.

In my post-graduate year I completed a teaching qualification, specialising in teaching music to ages 11 to adult (PGCE).

Whilst living in Manchester I enjoyed working as a soloist in oratorios and masses including Vaughan-Williams’s Mass in G minor; Mozart’s Requiem; Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols; Vivaldi’s Gloria.

Since returning to Lancashire my time has been shared between teaching and performing engagements. I love the variety that comes with being a freelance musician and my work over the last twenty years has allowed me to take on many roles concurrently, including:
